What organisations often ask.
When should HFE be involved in a project?
As early as possible. HFE is most cost-effective when it informs requirements and concept design, although reviews can also be useful during detailed design, commissioning or modification.
Is HFE only for safety-critical industries?
No. The same principles apply wherever people interact with equipment, information, software or environments, although the level of rigour should match the consequence and complexity of the work.
Can you review vendor designs?
Yes. We can review proposed solutions against user, task and human-performance requirements and help define issues that should be resolved before acceptance.
